Reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accounting accuracy, driving process improvements, and helping maintain the strong financial foundation that supports Accredible's continued growth.

💻 What you’ll be doing

  • Managing month-end revenue accounting and related reconciliations.
  • Reviewing sales tax calculations in Avalara and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Assisting with the monthly consolidation of international subsidiaries.
  • Supporting monthly financial statement preparation, including investor financial reporting packages.
  • Providing audit support for both US and UK audits.
  • Assisting with state and local tax and registration matters.
  • Preparing monthly payroll accruals.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
  • Supporting the continued growth and scalability of Accredible's finance operations.
What Success Looks Like

First Quarter
  • Work with the CFO to define responsibilities you will own independently or support.
  • Learn assigned tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate competency and understanding of the business across all assigned areas.
First Year
  • Consistently complete responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Actively contribute to the audit process and respond thoroughly to auditor queries.
  • Help identify and implement technology updates and improvements.
  • Expand sales tax compliance projects, incorporating Stripe and/or VAT.
  • Identify efficiencies, automation opportunities, and control improvements.
0–3 Years
  • Play an active role in identifying and improving internal controls.
  • Lead or participate in systems and process upgrades.
  • Take on expanded ownership of the audit process and accounting function.
  • Establish yourself as a strong candidate for a future Accounting Manager role.

👀 What we’re looking for

Role-Based Competencies
  • Strong Accounting Foundation: Solid financial and GAAP accounting knowledge.
  • Accounting Experience: 3+ years of experience in an accounting or auditing role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • General Ledger Systems: Experience working with GL accounting software.
  • Excel Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Audit Support Experience: Experience supporting external audit processes is highly valued.
  • Revenue Recognition Experience: SaaS or subscription revenue recognition experience is a plus.
  • Sales Tax Experience: Experience with sales tax software such as Avalara is preferred.
  • Global Accounting Exposure: Experience with UK entity consolidations is a plus.
  • CPA or Public Accounting Background: Highly desirable but not required.
