Nuclear Understanding, Management & Solutions

Nuclear Learning is a superb example of the Stimson Center’s South Asia Program’s mission of fostering first-rate analysis of nuclear programs, doctrines, and postures. They’re making diverse viewpoints and experts in the field accessible to equip strategic analysts to better tackle these difficult issues.

Launched mid-2017, the first Nuclear Learning course, “Nuclear South Asia: A Guide to India, Pakistan, and the Bomb,” provides strategic analysts in all countries a platform to study nuclear competition and dangers in South Asia and beyond. “Nuclear South Asia” includes video content from over 80 leading practitioners and scholars from India, Pakistan, and the United States, including former senior diplomats and military officers.

Nuclear Learning adopted Accredible to recognize the achievement of course graduates as well as to help them raise their profiles and facilitate their academic and career advancement.

“Digital Certificates have been incredibly helpful in allowing our students to showcase their hard work and signal their nuclear expertise. An added benefit of these certificates is that they create and reinforce a lifetime connection between Stimson and a growing community of “nuclear learners” the world over.” – Travis Wheeler, Research Associate at the Stimson Center.

“Stimson, true to form as a leading U.S. nonpartisan policy research center, is tackling a difficult issue head on with the courses provided on Nuclear Learning. We’re excited that they’ve chosen Accredible to recognize the achievement of their students.” – Alan Heppenstall, CTO of Accredible.

The first Nuclear Learning course—“Nuclear South Asia: A Guide to India, Pakistan, and the Bomb”—is available for free at www.nuclearlearning.org. “Nuclear South Asia” includes 8.5 hours of video content and features lectures from more than 80 renowned scholars and practitioners, including former senior diplomats and military officers. In addition to lectures, the course includes quizzes, recommended readings, and other resources for students.
