What is Kryterion Webassessor?

Webassessor by Kryterion provides a secure platform to build and deliver skill tests, online assessments, and comprehensive high-stakes certification programs. Using the platform, organizations can serve their clients, students, and employees with tests through a variety of delivery formats. Using the interface, test issuers can:

  • Manage candidates and administrators
  • Author and create test questions and forms
  • Manage data from anywhere
  • Report on test-takers, exams, and results

What is Kryterion Webassessor Integration?

The Kryterion Webassessor integration through Accredible automates the creation and delivery of digital credentials, digital certificates, digital badges, and blockchain credentials through the Kryterion Webassessor platform. Using the Kryterion Webassessor integration, test issuers can:

  • Deliver feature-rich digital certificates and open badges
  • Automatically bring course data into Accredible
  • Map multiple tests per group
  • Automate the delivery of digital credentials via email with test scores
  • Allocate certain tests to specific digital credentials
  • Automatically update credential expiration dates when a test taker successfully passes the required tests

The benefits of using Kryterion Webassessor Integration

Kryterion Webassessor doesn’t deliver digital credentials by default. On completion of an online exam, test takers receive an immediate score on screen followed by a results email with their score and a date-stamped certificate. This means test sponsors and takers are restricted by:

  • Limited amounts of displayable information
  • Lack of easy sharing ability
  • No control over expiration and invalidation
  • Poor/clunky portability of credentials
  • Limited recipient experience

Using Kryterion Webassessor integration to issue digital credentials benefits both issuers and test takers. Features of the Kryterion Webassessor integration include:

  • Ability to issue across any type of test or certification
  • Support for digital certificates, blockchain credentials, and open badges
  • Easy to use digital badge and certificate designer with freedom of design
  • Dedicated credential page with space for test details and evidence
  • One-click sharing to social media and embedding to email or webpage
  • Full portability of credentials using digital wallet cards
  • Easy to revoke or expire digital credentials

This makes it easy to provide branded, feature-rich digitals credentials that offer a positive recipient experience and are simple to issue, manage, and revoke.

Feature-Rich Digital Credentials

Digital credentials are more than a simple document, they are a way to engage and motivate test takers. Using digital credentials, test builders can inspire candidates to continue learning, and increase visibility for courses by encouraging social shares and embeds. Digital certificates can provide a full ‘diploma-like’ experience with space on the dedicated credential page for detailed transcripts and knowledge evidence. Additional features of the Accredible Kryterion Webassessor integration include:

Informative Analytics

Track and monitor exactly how recipients are interacting and engaging with their digital credentials. From delivery email open rates to social shares and embeds, including level of engagement, and clickthrough rates. Use analytics to inform marketing strategies and track the brand exposure generated.

Blockchain Credentials

Cryptographically seal digital credentials on creation to the blockchain to provide additional protection against fraudulent credentials. Blockchain credentials ensure that third-party verifiers can have complete confidence that a credential hasn’t been fraudulently spoofed or amended. Add a QR code to digital certificates for printing, providing an easily scannable link to the live credential. This ensures that even if a hard-copy has been amended without authorization, the verifier can check the true details against the live record.

How to use Kryterion Webassessor Integration

Once the Kryterion Webassessor integration is set-up, it’s easy to start automatically issuing digital certificates and digital badges.

Creating a Digital Badge or Certificate

Designs for digital certificates and digital badges are created, managed, and updated from the Accredible platform.

Detailed guidance for how to create digital credentials can be found in our knowledgebase. Follow the links to our help articles below:

Adding and Managing Digital Credentials

Test creators must send the test product codes through to Accredible for allocation to the correct digital credential group. For tests created after the initial integration, the new product code must be sent through at the time of creation as the process is not automated. Test creators can also map multiple tests to a single group. For example if the same test is offered in 5 different languages, there is no need to create 5 different credentials.

Recipient, test, and score data is pulled through in real-time, meaning candidates never need to wait long for their credential to be delivered via email. Historic data does not get pulled through automatically but can be used to retroactively issue digital credentials on request. The Kryterion Webassessor Accredible integration also handles renewal of certifications, without the need to generate a new credential.

Note: Accredible uses unique candidate email addresses to prevent duplicate credential generation. Kryterion Webassessor handles candidate data differently, generating multiple candidate IDs for the same individual. This can cause issues with the credential delivery email. We recommend following the steps in the help link below to ‘Allow Duplicates’ in credential group settings to ensure candidates receive their credential.

Kryterion Webassessor FAQs

Find answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding the Kryterion Webassessor integration:

Q: What data is synced from Kryterion Webassessor to Accredible?

A: Synced data includes:

  • Name, Email, Candidate ID, Issue Date (test date), Expiry Date (2 years from test date), Grade (score).
  • Recipient City, Recipient State, Recipient Country, Recipient Zipcode (as custom attributes).
  • Topic scores (as custom attributes)
    • Topic0 Code
    • Topic0 MaxScore
    • Topic0 Name
    • Topic0 Score
    • Repeated for N where 0 is replaced with N for the number of topics.

Q: What can we do with the data synced from Kryterion Webassessor?

A: The data synced into Accredible can be used as attributes on the digital credential and within the digital credential delivery email to automate the design and delivery process.

Q: We have recently reassessed and rescored some credentials but the candidates did not receive credentials/updated credentials.

A: Rescoring transcripts within Webassessor does not update the transcript date so it is treated as historic data. This means that the updated information does not get pulled through automatically with the real-time data and will need to be manually imported.
